Stork’s Nest
A national project that was adopted in 1972. Stork’s Nest is an incentive program to increase the number of women seeking the early and continuing prenatal care so necessary if a baby is to be born healthy. The nest is a non-profit redistribution center where needy expectant mothers of low economic status receive clothing and other maternity needs. This program is in collaboration with the March of Dimes.
Project Z.I.P. (Zetas Investing in People)
A national project that was adopted in 1986. Project Z.I.P. , is concentrated on three areas: phase I - substance abuse prevention, economic development and empowerment, health and human services, political empowerment. Phase II – project ZETA focuses on sexually transmitted diseases and spousal abuse. Phase III – the development of the Latchkey Children Program, Zeta Childcare Centers, and the Zeta Leadership Academy.
Challenger Kids
A national project that was adopted in 1992. The Challenger Kids program is in cooperation with the U.S. Camp, to sponsor students interested in science and mathematics to attend the formal training program in Huntsville, Alabama.
National Education Foundation
A national project which is a nonprofit subsidiary of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, which was established to provide scholarship assistance to undergraduate and graduate student but also to include and encourage promoting of education, educational research and community services. This scholarship is also given to members of the sorority. If you are interested in applying for this scholarship please contact the local chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority on your campus.
