Requirements:

Pledge Requirements - Membership in Beta Alpha Psi includes those persons of good moral character who have achieved scholastic and/or professional excellence in the fields of accounting, finance, or information systems, who have been initiated by an existing chapter and who remain in good standing.

Under Graduate Educational:
- Completed sixty credit hours
- Taken three accounting classes consisting of: Accounting Concepts, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting or Intermediate Accounting II
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 cumulatively along with in all accounting classes taken
Graduate Educational Requirements:
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.25 cumulatively
and a 3.5 in all graduate accounting classes

Attendance:
- Attended seven professional meetings
- Attended one BAP sponsored field trip
- Attend parent pledge dinner
- Attended end of year party

Dues:
National Initiation Fee - $40.00
Semester Chapter Fee - $40.00

Additional Requirements:
- Serve on one BAP committee
- Perform 4 hours of community service (at least 2 hours with a BAP sponsored event)

Member Requirements -

Attendance:
- Attended Professorial Meetings
- Attended BAP sponsored field trips

Dues:
Semester Chapter Fee - $40.00

Additional Activities:
- Participation in a international student seminar or graduate case seminar
- Attendance at regional meetings
- Development chapter notes for the Newsletter

Specific Objectives -

Professional Presentations
- To supplement the student's classroom learning with up-to-date information and provide opportunities to socialize on an informal basis with established accountants.
Field Trips- To expose students to the accountant's working environment and the range of opportunities available to the accounting student.
Newsletter- To maintain ongoing communication with alumni and area professionals.
Campus Activities- To aid students and other organization by providing tutorial and counseling services and accounting assistance when needed.
Management Night- To allow private firms to come together for dinner with our members to give insight into the practices of private accounting. This activity is held during the Spring Semester.
Community Service- To aid the community in solving accounting related problems.
Debate- To keep members informed on current accounting issues and to allow our members to meet members of other chapters of Beta Alpha Psi.
