Section 5.5: The Vice-President External Reporting-Elect shall:
A) Keep minutes of board meetings;
B) Assist the Vice-President External Reporting with meeting any reporting requirements as designated by the Chapter Activity Program; and
C) Acquire the skills necessary to perform the duties of Vice-President External Reporting upon succeeding the previous Vice-President External Reporting.

Section 6: The Vice-President Information Systems shall:
A) Maintain and update the Chapter internet (web) site on a regular basis throughout term; and
B) Be responsible for taking notes of Chapter news, and to post the news to the Chapter internet (web) site and deliver the news to Chapter members via e-mail.

Section 6.5: The Vice-President Information Systems-Elect shall:
A) Learn the language necessary to update and maintain the Chapter internet (web) site;
B) Create a list serve to deliver Chapter news to Chapter members via e-mail; and
C) Acquire the skills necessary to perform the duties of Vice-President Information Systems upon succeeding the previous Vice-President Information Systems.
Section 7: The Treasurer shall:
A) Assume the responsibility for billing and collecting all dues, initiation fees, dinner fees, and other necessary items;
B) Maintain current and accurate records of the financial position of the Chapter, and prepare all reports required by the National Office or that he or she may feel necessary or the presiding officer shall request to be kept by the Treasurer in order that a complete and accurate record of the Chapter's financial position may be ascertained at all times;
C) Report on the financial position of the Chapter at all business meetings unless this is waived by the executive committee;
D) Send to the National Office the national initiation fee and appropriately completed supporting documents for each active, honorary, and faculty initiate within the ten (10) days after the initiation; and
E) Prepare the Financial Statements and arrange for their audity, and send to the National Office the audited financial statements for the Chapter by the date designated by the National Constitution and Chapter Activity Program.

Section 8: The Vice-President of Membership shall:
A) Be in charge of recruitment of new members;
B) Supervise pledge program;
C) Make a study of pledge's eligibility;
D) Make recommendations to the Chapter concerning all prospective members;
E) Contact all students selected by the Chapter as deserving of membership and keep them informed of Chapter proceedings;
F) Review absences;
G) Assume responsibility for notifying members, prospective members, and the Treasurer of any fees; and
H) Maintain a complete list of all active members with a breakdown by class and date of initiation; such records shall be revised at least twice in each year as close to the previous initiation as reasonably possible.

Section 9: The Vice-President of Publicity shall:
A) Assume responsibility for the article being written and forwarded to the Beta Alpha Psi Newsletter;
B) Assume responsibility for publicity of Chapter events;
C) Assume responsibility for posting signs and notices for meetings and events; and
D) Assume responsibility for sending memorandums to faculty regarding upcoming Chapter events and news.

Section 10: Any deviations from the duties described above shall be determined by the President and shall terminate with the term of office of the President subject to the approval of the executive committee.

Section 11: The Chapter shall have the power by a majority vote of those student members present in any regular or emergency meeting to declare any office vacant on account of graduation, withdrawal, continued absence, or inability of any officer to administer properly the duties of the office and shall have the power to elect officers to fill such vacancies. In the event an office is filled under this Section, the normal procedures for election are superseded and temporarily suspended and the office shall be filled by nomination, open election, and installation during the same meeting.

B. Appointed Committees

Section 1: The President or the executive committee has the power to appoint committees as deemed necessary.

Section 2: The committee members and chairpersons may consist of active members, pledges, honorary members, alumni and officers of the Chapter. The President, the President-Elect, and the Vice-President are ex-officio members of all committees.

C. Executive Committee

Section 1: The executive committee shall be composed of the President, President-Elect, Vice President, Vice-President External Reporting, Vice-President External Reporting-Elect, Vice-President Information Systems, Vice-President Information Systems-Elect, Treasurer, Vice-President of Publicity, Vice-President of Membership and such other officers who may be appointed or elected after the creation of any future office. Over 50% of the committee shall be deemed a quorum.

Section 2: The executive committee shall have responsibility concurrent with that of the President for the direction and administration of the activities of the Chapter. They shall have the power to handle such administrative details and organizational functions as reason and precedent dictate to such a committee.

Section 3: Decisions reached by the executive committee shall be by the majority vote of its members present. Active members, pledges, faculty members, honorary members and alumni may attend any meeting of the executive committee and participate in any discussion at such a meeting, but will have no voting powers; except where such executive meeting has been deemed to be an organizational meeting.

ARTICLE VIII - FINANCES AND DUES

Part A. Initiation Fees and Dues

Section 1: Initiation fees shall be paid in accordance with rates set by the National Council which must be paid before the date of initiation.

Section 2: Student and faculty membership dues shall be paid in accordance with rates set by the executive committee and payable at the Chapter's first business meeting of the semester. Honorary members are charged no dues, but are subject to the initiation fee.

Section 3: Any special assessment or refund of dues must be approved by the Chapter membership at a Chapter business meeting at least fourteen (14) days preceding the date on which the dues shall be assessed or refunded in full or in part.

ARTICLE IX - AMENDMENTS

Section 1: These By-Laws may be amended, suspended, and added to or stricken by a two-thirds vote of the student members present at a Chapter business meeting providing the proposed amendment is published one week prior to its being voted upon.

Section 2: No amendment shall be effective until a copy of the amendment or a copy of the amended By-Laws are transmitted to and approved by the appropriate University officials, and has been mailed to and filed by the National Secretary of the Organization.

Section 3: Any amendments to the By-Laws must be appended to the three copies noted in Section 4 of Article II.

Appendix A

Membership Requirements:

A student who does not meet the grade point requirements for full membership may qualify as an associate member providing he or she was a member in good standing of the former Accounting Society the semester that Epsilon Rho was installed as a Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi. An associate member shall have the same rights as regular members except they shall not have the right to run for office and they will not be recognized as national members.
