Listed below is the criteria for becoming a member:
An active interest in Biology.
Recommendation from a member of the Biology Faculty.
Payment of $20.00 for processing membership.
This membership has no affiliation with the National after graduation and is not allowed to hold offices. A person may join as an associate and then become a regular member or be promoted when qualified and pay an additional fee.
Three Biology courses completed.
3.0 Grade point in Biology.
2.5 Grade point overall.
No D's or F's in your major or minor areas.
Current transcript (unofficial transcript from the Enrollment Services Office).
Payment of $30.00 National Dues.
A person who is an Associate member and later qualifies as a Regular member (by satisfying the Regular requirements) may be promoted with a fee of $10.00.
These requirements are the same as a Regular National member except the person must be currently enrolled in a graduate program and have a 3.0 overall grade point in graduate work.
This membership is reserved for individuals who are considered to be worthy of recognition by the membership.
Applications for membership can be picked up in the biology office.
