ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 

Fall of 2007:

        *Raised over $1,500 for a student battling breast cancer

        *Prepared 500 bagged lunches for various homeless shelters in Milwaukee

        *Donated $300 to Porchlight homeless shelter in Madison

 

Spring of 2007:

        *Donated $1,200 to Beginnings group home in Jainesville

        *Cooked and served three meals at Porchlight homeless shelter in Madison

        *Donated five boxes of clothes and food for Pass-It-On to various shelters

 

Fall of 2006:

        *Members gave 591 hours of volunteer community service

        *Donated $582 in the form of food and supplies to Porchlight meal shelter

 

Spring of 2006:

        *Donated $506 to Porchlight homeless shelter in Madison

        *Cooked and served four meals for Porchlight homeless shelter in Madison

        *Raised $1,059 from annual raffle which was donated to the Bethel House

 

Fall of 2005:

        *Donated $312 to Porchlight homeless shelter in Madison

        *Raised $230 for Adopt-A-Family

        *Donated $115 to CCS Outreach for hurricane and earthquake victims in El Salvador

        *Donated 326 pounds of non-perishable food items to America's Second Harvest

 

Fall of 2004:

         *Monetary donation of $75 to hurricane victims in Jamaica. 

         *Raised $400 for Adopt-A-Family, to help families around the holiday season afford the gifts they really want

 

Spring of 2004:

         *Raised $600.00 from the 3rd annual raffle which was donated to the Sojourner Truth House

         *Collected 50 bags of clothing for Pass-It-On, our annual clothing drive and donated them to varies shelters

 

Fall of 2003:

         *Sorted 18,000 lbs. of food at the Hunger Task Force for Milwaukee

         *Raised over $200.00 for the Milwaukee Women's Center.

 

Spring of 2003:

         * Members gave an estimated 542 hours of community service

         *Outstanding Publicity Award, Spring 2003

         * Jim Winship awarded Faulty/Staff Service Award

         * Raised $600.00 from the 2nd annual raffle which was donated to The Madison's AIDS project.  

 

Fall of 2002:

         * Members gave an estimated 507 hours of community service

         * Raised $100.00 for Safe Harbor.

         * Donated 80.00 and a Thanksgiving turkey for two needy families.

         * Donation of $50.00 to the Women's Center for Take Back the Night program. 

         *Adopted a family for the Holiday Season. 

 

Spring of 2002:

         * Raised $1000 from the first annual raffle which was donated to Pathfinders

         * 2001-2002 Outstanding Service Project Award for "Pass it on"

         * 2001-2002 Outstanding Service Project Award for "Urban Experience"

         * 2002 Recognition Award for Outstanding Educational Program: "Urban Experience"

         * 2002 Chancellor's Achievement Award

         * Mike Wallace awarded Outstanding Teacher and Outstanding Service Award

Fall of 2001:

         * Raised $155.66 from Pizza Hut Monday Night Fundraiser

         * Raised $108.36 during "Homeless Week Fundraising Drive"

Spring of 2001:

 * Tim Reutebuch awarded for outstanding teacher
 * Mike Wallace awarded for outstanding advisor

Fall of 2000:

 * Donation of $500 to Bethel House
 * Donation of $500 to YWCA's Alternatives Violence Program

Spring of 2000:

 * Donation of $250 to Bethel House
 * Donation of $50 to Camp Hope

Fall of 1999:

 * Volunteer Service Award for "Adopt-a-Grandparent" program by Wisconsin Association of Homes and Services for Aging, Inc.
