What is the Student Safety Organization ?

The Student Safety Organization is an exciting way to meet fellow safety students as well as safety professionals in a relaxed setting.

The Student Safety Organization works with two widely recognized professional safety societies, the nationally known American Society of Safety engineers (ASSE), and internationally known World Safety Organization (WSO). The SSO is a separate entity in itself with optional membership in these two professional organizations.

What are the benefits of being a member?

The Student Safety Organization is a very comfortable way to meet other safety students that are preparing for the "Real World" after graduation. It also gives you an opportunity to network with professionals through monthly meetings and conferences that are free of charge to SSO members. Lastly, the Student Safety Organization always has an "End of The Semester Party" for all SSO members and guests. This is our way to say thank you for making this organization fun, exciting, and educational.

There are benefits of being an ASSE and/or a WSO member also. SSO Strongly encourages all safety students to become a member of either of these organizations. We also encourage you to research both of these organizations to help you decide which one, or both, best fits you as a future Safety Professional.
