History

Phi Chi Epsilon was founded in 1921 here at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. It has taken its place among the educational institutions as a promoter of knowledge and an advancer of culture. Phi Chi Epsilon is a self-governed fraternity, which means we have no national rules or dues to deal with. Being self-governed allows us to change with the times as we see fit with out breaking any of our traditions or beliefs. Being self-governed means that active members get more experience in leadership, which will help when looking for a job after graduation. We have worked closely with the university and the community for over 80 years. Being involved with the community is part of our commitment to excellence, and will continue to do so for many years to come. We also hold the philosophy "work hard, play hard", which means we reward ourselves for our accomplishments.
