Welcome to the homepage for the UW-Whitewater Chapter of Habitat for Humanity! Habitat for Humanity International is a Christian organization that helps build simple, decent, affordable houses for underprivileged families. With about fifty active members, our chapter plays an active role on our campus. We coordinate annual events, such as the Souper Bowl and Hire-A-Habitator. These events allow our chapter to raise money to build new homes for families in need of quality housing.
In the fall of 2003, our chapter, along with our Walworth County affiliate,
broke ground on the first house that is sponsored by our campus chapter. We are currently working on two houses, both in Whitewater.
