A ListServ is a mailing list set up through the University to contact all members of Habitat efficiently. This is open for anyone to use.

To Sign Up:

To sign up for the listserv, enter your email address into the email address box on the side menu and click subscribe.  A confirmation email will be sent to your email account.  Be sure to confirm your subscription to begin receiving messages.

Another way to sign up for the listserv, send an email from the email account that you wish to receive the listserv messages. This email should look exactly like the following example.

To: lyris@listmanager.uww.edu
Subject:
Body: subscribe habitat-l

(Please note that it is the lowercase letter l [listserv] and not the number 1)

You will then receive an electronically generated welcome message a few seconds after you send your request that contains a list of commands available for you to use.

To Send a Message:

To send a message to everyone whose signed up for the listserv, simply address your message to habitat-l@listserv.uww.edu.  Use the subject lines, body, attachments, and other e-mail features as normal-  just understand that this is going to EVERYONE on the listserv.
