Behind every great university organization is a foundation of alumni. UW-Whitewater Forensics is committed to strengthening our alumni base through social events, team gatherings, banquets, and annual talent showcases.
Upcoming Alumni Event:
Saturday, November 21st, Time TBD
After the Edna Sorber Invitational Tournament wraps up, join us for an informal alumni gathering later that night. Whether your judging or volunteering at the tournament or not, all alumni are encouraged to attend. For event details and to RSVP, email Jim Disrude at DisrudeJL10@uww.edu.
How can I get involved?
There are several ways for alumni to support the program:
Attend alumni gatherings. Check this page occasionally to see if any new alumni events have been posted.
Join the Alumni Facebook group. If you’re active on Facebook, join the group “UW-Whitewater Forensics Alumni” and post pictures and messages, keep in touch, and learn about upcoming events.
Plan and host an alumni event in your area.
Judge at tournaments. We host an annual college and high school tournament on theUW-Whitewater campus. We encourage our alumni to consider judging at these events. The team also travels to college tournaments throughout the Midwest and we always need people willing to travel with us and judge. This helps reduce tournament travel expenses.
Volunteer coaching. Whether it’s coaching once a week or once a year, our team members are always looking for new opinions about their material.
Attend the annual team banquet or talent showcase. Alumni are always welcome at any team event. Support the current team members by attending a banquet or showcase event.
Annual contributions. Meeting the expenses of a traveling collegiate speech team is challenging. Consider an annual financial contribution to the team.
To get involved, contact Director of Forensics Jeanine Fassl, fasslj@uww.edu, or Assistant Director of Forensics Jim Disrude, DisrudeJL10@uww.edu.
