The Great Wisconsin Swing: The Edna Sorber Tournament 2007
Happy Speakers Come From Wisconsin
Please see the Sorber Invitation for more information.
September 2007
Hey Fellow Forensicators!
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Forensics team invites you to the 2007-2008 Edna Sorber Invitational Tournament on Saturday, November 10. This longtime tournament honors the past efforts of Dr. Edna Sorber, the former forensics coach at Whitewater who brought the 1967 Pi Kappa Delta National Convention to the Whitewater campus.
Twelve events will be offered this year, including the world renowned Extemp Interp! Category rules and description are included. Awards will be given to the top three schools and the top six competitors in each category. We like to think of our tournament as laid back and casual, with a friendly atmosphere.
Entries are due by Tuesday, November 6 by 5:00 pm. Our office phone number is 262-472-5259, and our email address is forensics@uww.edu. Details regarding lodging and dining information are also attached.
Our tournament is in conjunction with UW-Madison's Badger Memorial Invite in a swing event we like to call "The Great Wisconsin Swing!" The second half of the swing will be held in Madison, WI on Sunday, November 11. Hope to see you here and there!
Good Luck,
