Economically
Disadvantaged Children: Building a Force for Change
Circle K
clubs should provide service through established networks that work with
economically disadvantaged children.
So
you're still not sure if you want to join Circle K? Maybe you don't think you know enough details about our
club yet. Follow the links to answer some of your unasked questions.
The
four best reasons to join Circle K are:
|
|
Service Opportunities:
Circle K is about helping others through volunteer work. From
assisting children to seniors, you can find Circle K'ers at soup kitchens,
sanctuaries, seniors' homes, and festivals. If you like volunteering, this
is the club for you.
|
|
|
Leadership Opportunities:
Circle K is entirely student-run. The opportunity is available
to gain valuable leadership skills by organizing events or taking an
officer position. Developing your public speaking, initiative and social
skills are a definite plus.
|
|
|
Social Activities:
Our club lets you meet a bunch of students just like you, with
the same interests and concerns. We hold potlucks, parties, and other
social events, PLUS you get the chance to go to conferences outside of
Victoria with other US clubs.
|
|
|
Scholarships:
As a leader, you are recognized by the local Kiwanis and the CKI
organization. Dedicating to "service above self" allows
you to apply for scholarships available through the club and district.
