What is an Interclub?
Interclubbing is a fancy name for visiting another club. However, to be considered an interclub, there must be
at least 4 guests from the same club visiting the host club. Interclubbing is a fun way for clubs to learn more about each other. They allow clubs to learn new things, and get ideas from each other.
The Ten Commandments of Interclub Promotion
1. Thou shalt steal only the gavel, gong, banner, and mascot of a club that you are visiting: not items other than the gavel, gong, banner, and mascot and not items belonging to another club. 2. Thou shalt not steal the gavel, gong, banner, or mascot of a club unless they are on prominent and obvious display at a club function. 3. Thou shalt be responsible physically and financially for the items thou absconds with. 4. Thou shalt be responsible for notification of the club owning such gavel, gong, banner, or mascot of the event of your possession of said articles and of the various locations and times of meetings and projects so the offended club may retrieve said items. 5. Thou shalt not in any way limit the size or content of a retrieval interclub. 6. Thou shalt in every way obey all the laws of the state in which though has absconded with said articles and take special care to in no way harm, hurt, or seriously embarrass a member of the offended club as well as the property of said club or school. 7. Thou shalt remember during any interclub promotion activities the purpose of said activity is the promotion of interclubs, not personal esteem or stature. 8. Thou shalt return property whether or not there has been a legitimate attempt to retrieve it at any convention or conference of the Capital District. 9. Thou shalt not even THINK of stealing District property. The District gavel, gong, and banner belong to all the clubs of the District, and it is therefore the duty of the clubs to protect such District articles.
10. Thou shalt feel great remorse if thou breaks any of the above commandments and thou shalt communicate such remorse and replace such articles in an appropriate way to said club. The above commandments should be closely followed by all clubs in the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District for the sake of all members.
