Committee Descriptions

Fundraising/Social Committee:
The members of this committee are in charge of finding fun and interesting ways to raise money for GMO. These members also help plan, organize, and carryout the fundraiser. The members of this committee are also in charge of finding social activities for the GMO members to take part in.


Recruiting/Promotional Committee:
The members of this committee have the opportunity to see fresh, new faces at GMO by creating and posting fliers, chalking, making telephone calls, and sending e-mails to reach out to new members. These members will also be publicizing all meetings and activities of GMO. As a committee member you will help in achieving recognition for GMO, by brainstorming how, where and the amount of advertisement we do as an organization.

In order for GMO to be a success and thrive we need your help. Please sign-up for one or both committees. This gives you not only the chance to get involved, but also the opportunity to meet other members. Your help will be greatly appreciated by your chairperson and the executive board members.

Committee Chair Descriptions

Fundraising/Social Chairperson:
The chairperson of this committee would be in charge of motivating the members of the committee to come up with fundraising and social ideas and then following through with the activities. Also if the members of the committee do not complete their tasks the chairperson must make accountable for the work left to be done. The chairperson will also have to give reports at general member meetings and report to the Vice President of Fundraising on an as-needed basis.

Recruiting/Promotional Chairperson:
The chairperson of this committee would be in charge of making sure all the promotional aspects of GMO are accomplished This would include publicizing all meetings and activities of GMO with fliers, chalking, telephone calls, and/or e-mails. The chairperson will have the responsibility of promoting GMO and to ensure his/her committee members help GMO become a recognized name on campus, as well as brainstorm when, where, and how much advertising we do as an organization. The chairperson will also have to give reports at general meetings and report to the Vice-President of Recruiting on an asneeded basis.
